Last one month to IWD Istanbul 2018!
We as Women Techmakers Istanbul team are extremely proud to organize our 5th IWD conference. We wanted to share the updates with you because there’s only one month to the event.
Women Techmakers(WTM) is an international program being supported by Google and providing visibility, community, and resources to women in technology. Women Techmakers communities organize IWD conferences and meetups all around the world close to 8th of March to celebrate International Womens’ Day ones a year. In addition to IWD, every WTM team organizes smaller-scale meetups in year.
Like every other WTM communities all around the world, WTM Istanbul was founded to bring together women entrepreneurs, designers, developers and scientist in Turkey by Google Developers Group(GDG) Istanbul at 2014. Every year since the year it was established, we’ve been organizing our IWD conferences with great care.
The 5th IWD Istanbul conference will be held on 31 March at Kadir Has University Cibali Campus. The participants will be able to take a chance to improve themselves in various fields such as mobile, web, tensorflow, entrepreneurship, leadership and design in 3 parallel sessions. In addition to talks, they will be able to both meet with many companies and also new people in the foyer field and experience the latest technologies. One more thing, the conference will be crowned with a magnificent entrepreneurship panel, as the previous years.
Our early-stage sponsors are Google as event sponsor with both financial and also motivational support, Nescafe as coffee, Uber as transportation, Robotistan and 3D Works as gift sponsors. Google’s Barış Yesugey, Nazlıcan Yöney, Women Who Code London Director Gen Ashley, TurkishWin and Binyaprak’s founder Melek Pulatkonak, journalist Merve Kara rockstar are just some of the rockstar names.
The most meaningful part of the conferences is sharing our experiences with other people expert in their areas. If you want to join this journey with us as speaker, CFP will be open until 16th of March.
Transportation
IWD Istanbul will be held at Kadir Has University, Cibali Kampus. You can see the transportation details from here. As registering with IWDISTANBUL code to Uber, you can save up to 3o TL on your uberXL ride at 31st of March and 1st of April.
