DevFest’18 — Post Dussehra Celebration with GDG-Jalandhar

When you think as a creator you are somehow a coder, but when you think as a user you actually develop it and called as a developer. That is what DevFest 2k18 was all about, where developers meet communist and community meet their developers, who possibly think as they do. Think different, think like a developer!
Google Developers Group, Jalandhar chapter organized and established the virtue of DevFest 2018 very well. It was organized on 20th and 21st October at Lovely Professional University, Punjab. The two-day developer meet comprises developers interaction in which the beginners interact with the skilled developers. The skilled developer(speaker) who delivered them, a special guidance towards their career that would help them to resolve their career issues as well as acquainted about the new technologies such as flutter, Machine learning, Progressive Web App development etc.
Moreover, the session witnessed renowned speakers like Mr. Dhrumil Shah (Co-Organizer at GDG Ahmedabad) & Pawan Kumar (Google Developer Expert) who acknowledged us with Flutter which is Google’s mobile app SDK for crafting high-quality native interfaces on iOS and Android. A special thanks to them who came so far, just for the community. Their sessions on both Day 1 and Day 2, they made the session funnier to learn the things meanwhile, the audience learned about the bugs.
The audience experienced a wonderful special session taken by Mr. Kamal Vaid to implement Android Architecture Components Part of Android Jetpack in your App who is Google Certified Associate Android Developer, working with Infosys and Organizer at GDG Chandigarh.
A session by Mr. Tushar Srivastava, a software developer at Infosys titillates audience about crafting the future with Artificial Intelligence.
Miss Pooja Guleria, Women Techmakers Lead and Software engineer at Infosys Chandigarh took a session on Firebase ML Kit. Our GDG Jalandhar’s organizer, Mr. Suraj Kumar, Co-founder at Coding Gurukul edified on an offline progressive web application and improvising great product using design thinking and inclusive design.
Mr. Vrijraj Singh, illustrate about implementing Machine Learning with Javascript using Tensorflow.js. He took a special session regarding the technology.
Last but not least we had Mr. Shiv Prakash Pandey, Miss Sonakshi Shukla(Women Techmakers Lead) and Miss Varsha Jaiswal, the co-organizers team of GDG Jalandhar and DevFest 2018 who inculcate the DevFest with an optimistic vision to achieve the better community interaction, followed by the success to attain it so well. The special attraction about the DevFest was the audience, over 300+ beginner developer participated in two-day session, the people from all way around Chandigarh, Delhi, Amritsar, Jalandhar, and Ludhiana came across to learn something new. They happily went by bragging it.
A special interactive session was arranged with all the speakers to provide further career guidance in several fields of computer science technology. However, the GDG Jalandhar arranged expert advice session in break time so that the participant can ask their queries and outreach their doubts easily.
The session was all fun with learning activities. The quizzes made everyone learned about interesting facts. The participant were all delighted by grabbing the cool stickers and goodies by google. Lastly, the session proudly announces the commencement of GDG Chandigarh Chapter, followed by WomenTechmakers Community.
