So what is International Women’s Day ?
International Women’s Day is a worldwide event that celebrates women’s achievements while calling for gender equality. It is marked on March 8th every year. In different regions, the focus of celebrations ranges from general respect and appreciation for women to a celebration of women’s economic, political, and social achievements.
The main focus of this community-building initiative is to promote talented and passionate women, increase the visibility of the technology community and empower women in technology.
What About Women Techmakers?
Women Techmakers is Google’s brand and global program for women in technology. Women Techmakers provides visibility, community, and resources for women in technology to drive innovation and participation in the field.
