Heya! Hope you’re back from the first part of our review, where we looked at the history of web technologies and how the modern ecosystem of web technologies came to be. Without further ado, let’s proceed to the recap for the second speaker for this event.

Next up, we have Dmytro Olefyrenko who continued the momentum with his experience in building Progressive Web Applications.

Bringing us through the definition of PWA, Dmytro explained that PWA is able to take advantage of the features usually only found in Native Applications, unlike regular web pages. This is brought about by different qualities of a PWA — installable as an app, the ability to provide offline logic, access to device hardware, etc.

He then moved on to a short explanation of two PWA products that he has worked on, Xplorescan and ParcelTrackingApp.com . Through these products, he emphasized another benefit of PWA, that it is able to bridge across different OS…
