It’s one thing to organise a hack with just prizes for top 3 teams and another to give away something to everyone! With this aim in mind, we plan to organise DevJams’19, a hack for all!

DevJams (previously known as DevFest) is one of the biggest college hackathons of this year. Last year, we gave away prizes worth INR 1.2 Lakhs in cash. We also gave away a lot of service credits, schwags, goodies and subscriptions to various services. This year everything is bigger and better. It is a 36-hour long hackathon with 6 tracks, 10+ speakers, cash prizes worth INR 2 Lakhs and a cruise trip for top 3 teams. Apart from this, we have several additions giveaways ranging from service credits to goodies to subscription codes!

Cruise and Prizes are cool but what’s different?

Well, apart from all the attractive prizes, schwags and goodies, our technical team will also be providing mentorship to participants on how they can approach the problem. They will be guided throughout the hack.

We will also be helping teams with innovative ideas to continue their efforts towards building their unfinished project even after the hackathon!

We at DSC VIT believe with the help of tech, we can bring out effective solutions!

DevJams also opens up a lot of networking opportunities. We have very delicately curated the speaker talks so that a very huge spectrum is covered ranging from Design to Development to Data Science.

What else?

If you are attending DevJams, you are definitely going to learn something new. I know that’s cliché but trust me when I say this, we plan to create a very beginner-friendly environment. We have planned a lot of small dozes of motivation which we will be delivered to you during the time of hack!

Not just this, we will also be providing refreshments several times throughout the hack to keep you charged to do your magic! After all, DevJams is all about you and your team be the best you have ever been. All we can do is support you!

What if… I fail to…

Well, if you have decided to participate in a hack, you are already a winner! Not everyone can walk that extra mile! And even if you are not able to bring out the execution, you would have spent a long time brainstorming on the problem which will help you solve another problem sometime in future! I have been to a few hackathons and there’s at least one new thing which I learnt in those 24–36 hours!

Anything else?

Yeah! We are also organising Ideathon’19 with an aim to motivate the fresher students to start developing the habit of problem-solving through brainstorming and innovative thinking. All you have to do is pitch an idea which will “blow-our-minds-off”. If your idea is innovative, unique and feasible, our team will help you gain the skills to bring that idea to life!

After all, 14–15 years back, www.twitter.com was just a blank .html file!
