What’s happening at DSC VIT — August Wrap Up!
We at Developer Student Club, VIT have been working on several tasks and I intend to sum up a lot of it in this blog!
We started this semester by following the long-standing tradition of conducting Study Jams for the fresher students! This time Study Jams are rebranded as Developer 101 where we aim to provide freshers, a well-structured start to their journey as a developer. Apart from Python, we have planned to conduct sessions on cloud technology, cybersecurity, blockchain, web development and much more.
Over 300 students registered for the sessions with just a day of marketing!
We have conducted two sessions with more than 150 students attending each of them.
Developer 101 is not just a series of informative sessions but also about helping freshers identify their field of interest and motivate them to start working on projects. Our mentors stay in contact with students to help them overcome obstacles and encourage them to bring innovative ideas to action.
Previous edition of Study Jams received 60+ project submission.
#CloudfestComingSoon
We are planning to conduct Cloudfest on 14th September to encourage conversations on the impact of cloud technologies and their usage.
Cloudfest by DSC VIT is a completely free-of-cost one-day technical conference which will kick off with keynote sessions, followed by a panel discussion and concluding with a hands-on session for the participants.
Cloudfest is boxed with a lot of surprises, opportunities to grow as a developer and f̶u̶n̶ nerdy conversations.
#DevfestComingSoon
I am excited to share the news that Devfest 2019 is happening! Devfest by DSC VIT is a hackathon that goes forth with the aim of encouraging healthy competition in order to incubate futuristic ideas.
Through Devfest we aim to provide students and upcoming entrepreneurs, a platform to ideate, develop, brainstorm and present real-time solutions!
We have been successfully conducting Devfest for 4 years now. Devfest 2019, the fifth edition strives to bring innovative minds from all around the world under one roof!
