Year 2018 is going to end with a blast! GDG Cebu is celebrating its 10th year anniversary!
Mark your calendars everyone! Google Developers Group Cebu is once again partnering up with Google Business Group Cebu for the biggest tech event of 2018, DevFest x BizFest Cebu 2018!
The whole day event will happen this October 27, 2018 at the Summit Galleria Cebu. Main topics for DevFest Cebu 2018 will focus on Web, Android, Cloud and Machine Learning brought to you by local and international Google experts.

- Panel discussions about the latest business and tech issues
If you joined last year’s GDayX DevFest Cebu 2018, then you know how awesome the live Q&A can get. We have pioneer business owners and experienced developers/engineers answer questions and concerns that we have experienced in our own careers in the industry. Sharing tips, what they want in people in their team, to the different good practices they have in their career. They also will be asked other “questions” that we really want to know ;) (*cough* Salary *cough*)
- Into the Future
As the complete program of DevFest x BizFest Cebu 2018 has not been announced yet, a theme was only given for us to think about the various topics to be discussed which is “Into the Future”.
The coolest part of this theme is that both GDG and GBG are tailoring the entire program flow to follow and be related with the theme. You can expect topics that would be very important as it promotes sustainability and usage in the future as well as talks that is in the trend or will be in trend as our field in technology progresses.
Other major topics are Machine learning and artificial intelligence, web and mobile design, cloud, and software development. Devfest will also be having a workshop for deep learning. More topics and speakers are revealed each day at the GDG Cebu Facebook page.
- Speakers
As we assure in every GDG Event, we will always provide top notch speakers in their specific area of expertise. We will be flying speakers across counties in APAC: like Cambodia, Israel and Singapore to name a few.
Aside from our international speakers, we also have our cream of the crop local speakers in the country who will share their knowledge and skills to all our participants.

Yes. GDG Cebu will be celebrating its decade of existence in providing an avenue for developers to learn and grow together. Known for it’s big events, this year’s DevFest Cebu is focused in giving quality environment for all it’s audience. It may not be the greatest in quantity of participants, but it will garner the most in quality of learning by the end of the day.

Need I say more? A lot of awesome stuff are being revealed everyday as GDG Cebu and GBG Cebu are currently planning something big and amazing for 10/27/2018. We are talking about a combination of talks, speakers, venue and swags! (Food too ;) )
