1. Introducing the Activity Feed
We’ve listened to your feedback and understand the importance of quick and easy access to your scanning history. That’s why we’ve added the History page directly in the Gear Inventory App. This new feature allows you to view all past scanning activities without the need to navigate through Google Sheets.
How to Use the History Feed:
- Open the Gear Inventory App on your mobile device.
- Navigate to the History page from the main menu.
- Here, you’ll find a detailed log of all your scanning activities, including dates, items, and quantities.
This feature is perfect for those moments in the warehouse when you need to double-check your entries quickly. If you spot a mistake, simply rescan the item right from the History Feed to correct it, saving you the hassle of toggling between apps.
2. Error Message for Seamless Troubleshooting
To further enhance your experience, we’ve implemented a new Error Message Alert feature that pinpoints issues immediately during scanning. Now, whenever there’s a mismatch between the app’s form fields and your Google Sheets column names or order, the app will display an intuitive error message right away.
How to Benefit from Error Message:
- Scan your items as usual.
- If a discrepancy occurs between the sheet and the custom app, an error message will be displayed immediately, providing details about the issue.
- Follow the guidance provided in the message to correct your Google Sheet setup directly, ensuring future scans run smoothly.
This feature significantly reduces the common frustrations associated with manual error detection and resolution, allowing you to maintain your inventory with confidence and precision. One step closer to make the app solid.
