Follow in the Footsteps of Global Education Leaders

Global Leadership Week is designed to inspire student, educator and organizational leadership and advocacy for global education. Join us over the course of the next week through our Global Leadership Summit, Global Leadership Day Conference, and Global Leadership Week partner events.

Global education leaders will be sharing their ideas and resources on Tuesday, April 27th from 12 PM to 4 PM PST (UTC-7) at the Global Leadership Day conference as part of Global Leadership Week. All sessions will take place in Blackboard Collaborate which allows for great participant/presenter interaction and accommodates those experiencing slow internet connectivity. All sessions are 30 minutes in length and will be recorded for those who cannot tune into live sessions.

Kicking off the conference will be Dr. Fernando Reimers of Harvard’s Graduate School of Education who has recently authored a new book, Teaching and Learning for the Twenty-First Century: Educational Goals, Policies, and Curricula from Six Nations, with Dr. Connie Chung. Next Friday, both Connie and Fernando will also be leading a discussion about their new publication for Global Leadership Week.

Invited GLD speakers include students, teachers, administrators and organizational leaders:

Gavin Dykes of the UK’s Education Fast Forward initiative will as the Global Leadership Day closing keynote. Gavin runs the Education World Forum and has worked as a consultant with ministries of education all over the world.
