If Masks Work, Why Can I Smell Farts?

In this global coronavirus pandemic, the Center for Disease Control (CDC) recommends that people wear cloth masks in situations that social distancing is not possible. It doesn’t even have to be a special mask (like the N95 respirator). The purpose of the mask is to block droplets that exit the mouth (also known as a food hole) from getting to other people.
