30 Life Lessons From A Machine Learning Engineer

I’ve recently turned 30 years old last month — it’s kind of a big ‘milestone’ I’d say, as you really start to pave your own path in your thirties and feel like a real grown-up.

I don’t claim to be anyone famous — I haven’t published a book, appeared on the news, or done anything remotely impressive, but at least in the past few years, I’ve finished a Masters, changed my career path, changed a job, gotten married, bought a house, lost almost all my wealth and even went for surgery. I think I’ve at least learnt a thing or two (or 30 for that matter) in the past 30 years I’ve lived.

Depending on how this article goes, I might consider writing this every year. Anyway, let‘s get into it.

1. Appreciate your limbs

I wanted to start this off with something that I’m currently going through at the point of writing.

During the past year or so, I’d wake up on random days feeling extreme pain in my left foot, particularly at the navicular bone area. It was so painful that I wouldn’t be able to walk for a couple of days. After shrugging it…
