If you use Reddit a lot or see it as a good potential source of information regarding programming, coding, and software engineering in general, then this article will list some subreddits that you can subscribe to in order to check for discussions that may possibly help you in your work and in your career.

One of the biggest subreddits regarding computer science, /r/cscareerquestions is intended to “discuss careers in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, and related fields”, according to its sidebar. It has fervent discussion in a variety of topics relating to the industry, and while some complain that perhaps the subreddit is too big, skews too young, and seems too cynical, it can be a nice source of information for those in the field or those trying to break in.

This subreddit is intended more towards those who are considered “experienced” by the sidebar’s rules, which says 3+ years of experience as a software developer. The goal is avoid less general career advice and instead focus more on the issues that concern experienced developers.
