Brands in the Metaverse… just another marketing gimmick?

Perhaps you were never interested in gaming and virtual reality, so you think you and your brand has nothing to do with the Metaverse. But… Is it really?

After seeing a lot of the major brands moving their (at least part of) businesses to the Metaverse, maybe you should reconsider your approach. We learn from the past that most of the major trends impact businesses sooner or later. It’s now becoming a necessity for brands and businesses to maximize their digital presence. After all, the early bird always gets the worm, right?

The Metaverse, in my opinion, is a social construction that leverages the Web 3, blockchain, and computer interfaces where individuals build customs, habits, and values that allow them to spend time and socialize in the virtual world using their digital identities. That said, people are spending more and more time in the Metaverse. Thus, that would only make sense to bring your brand into it to maximize the exposure.

Let’s investigate some key figures, shall we? According to the McKinsey Metaverse Report published in June 2022, $13 billion were invested into the Metaverse by venture capital funds in 2021, and…
