Data Scientist: Which area of specialization to take?
The field of application of Data Science in business has increments in the last years. This translates to an increase in the areas of specialization of a Data Scientist, with increasingly marked technical profiles.
The tremendous and rapid advances in the different fields of Data Science research have led to an increase in its ability to solve complex real-life problems, transform industries and offer commercial value. Therefore, its application in the field of business is more significant. This, in turn, translates into an increase in the areas of specialization of a Data Scientist. However, when we refer to the work of a Data Scientist, the image of a professional with knowledge in statistics, data analysis, machine learning, and computing comes to mind. This is a very generic and vague description of the skills of this professional. Likewise, the Data Scientist title is frequently and interchangeably used as a descriptive title for drastically different jobs.
