Of course not — but, you might consider a worthwhile, fulfilling, self-caring, faux-commute instead.

Obviously, if you’re a remote worker in any capacity, the answer to the question posted by this article’s title is always going to be a resounding “no” in every respect.

For, as we all now know, freeing up what was essentially unpaid overtime mandatorily sacrificed for your employer at the whims of public transport or (worse) other drivers in endless traffic jams — all burning up the planet together — is just a total no brainer.

Let’s relive some of the commuting experience, together.

Am I going to make the bus, is the train coming, are they on strike, is it going to rain, should I take a coat, my bag’s a bit heavy, I’ll need to take a hat, I hope it’s not too crowded, damn I forgot to renew my data plan, my headphones — are they charged up, where did I put my bus pass, do I have enough change, where’s my book?

Does the car need defrosting, looks like it’ll need a service soon, have I got enough fuel to make it there and back, what if the EV charger is occupied, where are my keys, should I leave now to avoid the traffic and just sit like a lemon in the office or an hour, am I giving someone a lift, are they any roadworks, should I take the longer route that’s usually quicker, do I have enough money in
