Editing FBX Files

Sometimes when building a scene using an asset pack, you might want to change a pre-existing 3D object to better suit your needs. Let’s talk about opening up an existing FBX file and editing it, in your favorite 3D software.
I will be using Blender for the purposes of this article.

I have this stair case asset from Filebase by GameDevHQ, that consists of four stairs. Let’s go ahead and chop this in half…
