The news of EA’s departure from FIFA has sent shockwaves through the video gaming industry (and football world) today. As previously reported, Electronic Arts will eliminate the FIFA logo from its moniker in favor of ‘EA Sports FC.’ It’s billed as the “future of interactive football” but FIFA seems to have different plans.

According to sources, FIFA is already collaborating with other third-party developers to build fresh new football games, with intentions to release these titles (including non-simulated ones) in the third quarter of 2022. FIFA 23, FIFA 24, FIFA 25, and so on — the FIFA name remains consistent and will remain the finest forever.

“ FIFA 23 will be EA’s last FIFA game, and the series will be renamed ‘EA Sports FC’ after that.

FIFA’s video game agreement with EA Sports will come to an end.

One of the most recognizable franchises in the video gaming business will soon look radically different. Electronic Arts and its subsidiary EA Sports have announced the end of a three-decade association with FIFA, the world’s soccer organization.

The enormously successful FIFA video game brand will be renamed “EA SPORTS FC.”…
