The following is a super quick tutorial to get started with some Google Maps APIs.
It’s rather simple. For example, let’s search for “google static maps api” or follow this link:
The page will show an overview of the API and how to use it.
Basically, it is a URL request that will return a map image. Query parameters are largely used here.
Once you’re ready, click on Get Started and follow the instructions.
At the end you’re going to be provided with an API Key, the one you’re going to need to use all the APIs exposed by Google Maps:
