Keywords are the starting point of all searches and the beginning of SEO. This work is tedious and boring, and many people think with their heads. Unfortunately, the things that come out of this may be wrong from the beginning. A keyword analysis is the most important and basic link in all aspects of Google SEO, so please use the most stupid method to do it honestly, otherwise, you will not be able to generate traffic.

This article will disassemble the specific operations from practical application processes such as keyword selection, keyword analysis, and keyword usage.

Keyword analysis

1. Keyword selection: based on the principles of high value, low difficulty, and large search volume

  • To select words, start the query from the core words of the industry, search through the Google keyword planner, and continue to query the words with large search volume together until no big words can be found (don’t think with your own head, the human brain calculates force value is limited)
  • After completing the previous step, export the words, continue to repeat 5–8 times, and finally merge and remove the duplicates to basically get the complete thesaurus
  • Associative words, synonyms, long-tail words (mainly question-and-answer), etc. need to be queried
  • Use tools such as Ahrefs to query the keywords that have been included in the peer website, and after exporting, you can repeat the first one according to the big word
  • When writing articles, give priority to words with low competition and large search volume, and long-tail words. When laying out each phrase, long-tail words need to be considered.
  • Differentiate the search intent of each keyword, such as information words, conversion words, etc.

2. Keyword Analysis

(1) Grouping: with search intent as the core principle

  • According to the literal meaning of the core words (the words with the largest search volume can be used as the core words), each large group is used as a section, and then subdivided into groups from the large group until the groups are not mixed, the major groups are based on Put the search volume together as much as possible
  • For words with uncertain meaning, the search results are the main, and the top five non-advertising results are used as a grouping basis

(2) Rules of use: based on the principle of functional theme clusters

  • Home page: need to deploy each core word (for H1, H2, the beginning of the text), each core word associative word (below H3 and content), each core word long tail word (below H3 and content), and other big words
  • Function page (product page): deploy 1 major category of core words and their related associative words, long-tail words, etc., try to deploy all related categories according to the sub-categories within the group, and each category can be used as a content section, here mainly focuses on product functions, which are deployed in order according to the nomenclature, product function usage, price, material elements, and question and answer classes.
  • Blog page (article page): The core is the supplementary description of the product page and the latest related information, guidelines, and competing products. The words on this page are mainly based on the most subdivided phrases
  • Wrong words and uncommon search words can be used as alt tags for images
keyword research
  • Note that a group of keywords is an article. The core keyword of this article is the keyword with the highest monthly search volume, and the others are segmented keywords.
  • An article of 1,000 words generally uses eight keywords, and one keyword generally does not appear more than three times; the remaining sub-keywords that are not used by the writer are placed in the ALT of the picture.
  • Some unused related keywords can be added at the bottom of each page, hidden from users, and added using the P tag

<p style=”display: none;”>tags: {keywords}</p ></p >

3. Difficulty judgment

  • When exporting through the tool, refer to the difficult data given by the tool. Google keyword planner will prompt with high and low; tools such as Ahrefs will prompt with numbers.
  • When choosing the optimization direction, in the early stage, the difficulty is low (the difficulty value is small), and the search volume is mainly large. First, put this part of the words on the difficult words. Chain resources are focused on tilting.
  • If you want to make a certain word on the Google homepage, there is no other trick. If there is no problem with the content, you can push it through high-quality external links, and the other is to push through the internal links of websites with traffic.

(3) Complements

  • The main language complements are mainly through congeners, conjunctions, and substitutes (alias)
  • Minor language complements repeat from scratch in the main language

(4) Delete words

You can only delete completely irrelevant words. Before deleting it, you need to go to Google to search whether it is really irrelevant, otherwise, it cannot be deleted.

3. Frequently Asked Questions

  • Miscellaneous: Each group must be distinguished, and those with similar meanings must be placed in a large group. The core purpose of keyword grouping is to clarify the real needs for use
  • Insufficient coverage of thesaurus: don’t be lazy, keywords are the basis of everything, you must try to find as many words related to the product as possible, the project leader needs to guide the words in person, and it is best to group them as much as possible
  • The same core keyword appears multiple times on different pages outside the homepage of the website, which will cause pages to compete with each other. When deploying keywords, try to use one page as one core keyword.
  • If there are multiple words with high search volume, and they are related to each other, they can be placed together or not together. In this case, try to layout them in a thematic way, and place them on a page under a theme.
