How Artificial Intelligence can impact Diversity and Inclusion
My thoughts on how technologies such as artificial intelligence can assist organizations in recruiting and retaining diversely and inclusively.
For some people, AI still sounds like something out of a science fiction movie, but the reality is it’s just computers performing functions and algorithms in an attempt to learn. Artificial intelligence is the study of how machines can solve problems in the same way that humans do.
In terms of AI’s capabilities, it’s easier to say what it can’t do than what it can because its applications are nearly limitless. However, while the possibilities are nearly limitless, these technologies’ challenges are usually proportional to their capabilities.
One of the significant problems that AI encounters when attempting to solve them is those involving social issues. This occurs because AI is trained to recognize patterns that generally result in exclusion rather than inclusion.
Given the rate at which technology has advanced in recent years, it is expected that Artificial Intelligence (AI) will fundamentally alter the way we live and work.
