How Do You Build A ChatGPT-Powered App?

ChatGPT, BARD, GPT-4 are all taking the world by storm. If multiple large tech companies are heavily invested in the same idea — I don’t think you can take this idea lightly. Whether the goal is generative AI like ChatGPT or recent image-to-text advances, or the longer-term goal of AGI, the large-scale adoption of AI across multiple industries could fundamentally change how we interact with technology.
Going forward in the near term future, there are going to be 2 ways that people interact with Generative AI-based tools:
- Those who use Generative AI tools
- Those who develop Generative AI tools for others to use
There are many reasons to make AI-based tools— but for me, I do this for the opportunity to learn how to put multiple disparate parts together, leverage the exponential advances in AI, and make something of value to others. You get to think about what product and why you want to make it. Then you need to think about how to get where you want — and you build the product.
