In a matter of months, how we work and do business will fundamentally change and remain with us. Partly because the virus never gets gone, it’s managed simply. Social distance is a major component of the management of the virus. Human beings are social creatures, we like others’ company and use each other’s physical indications. We know it, it’s what we’re searching for. This is why it is difficult for many to absorb the new standard. The procedures advocated making it tougher for the social question to occur in commercial dealings. Without a face to face meeting, how do you express an engagement? How does a digital interface provide you with an empathic service?
In summary, the business economy assumes you can packing as many employees as possible in a single room to squeeze out more profit. It isn’t feasible anymore. Employees need to metre ahead for their own health and that of the customer. That means less staff per square metre. This leads to:
- Fewer offices and factories are open-plan. These working spaces need clear boundaries like a boundary drawn on the floor or high screens, Plexiglas and protection of workers against infectious sneezes or cough. They need to be physically distanced.
- Investment in a healthier environment for employees. For example, air filters or IoT devices such as sensors are installed or enhanced to provide environmental data.
- In operations, the cleaning crew or service companies are increasingly important.
Customer service will alter as well. The strength of the health procedures of a corporation determines the commitment of the consumers to protect them:
- For them to obtain trust, they must exhibit their health practices.
- Manage the flow and risk of consumers by using access controls.
- Shift your services so that consumers may be served remotely online.
Organizations struggle to rearrange the way they operate. The locking of the pandemic mandates, laws on social isolation and social anxiety make it impossible for the company to enter. The job needs to be done to survive, both for businesses and employees. But how can businesses be efficient, employee-safe and offer consumers effective service? Employees from home, abroad or on the move need to access the resources of the organisation. Back and forth emailing files is not efficient since workers must have ongoing access to data, process information and analytics. The only option that performs tasks from anywhere or yet have the entire objectives of the company at their discretion is the cloud.
At present, the world is running on data. However, data collection is no longer sufficient; it has to be digested, evaluated and implemented. In the use of cognitive processes on data, artificial intelligence goes this even farther, namely that it does not only act on data but also can draw on data. AI can evaluate and make decisions in a split second that offers the technology an obvious edge over the duration of human response. In more corporate operations, machine learning and language recognition will be applied. These are not novel functions; they are cloud-standard. It leverages the cloud to link remote agents from any communication platform with clients. The solution combines speech recognition, natural language processing, and AI to handle simple queries to resolve or collect information before passing it to an agent.
Most robots operating in plants have been involved in automation. It is set to expand and driverless vehicle technology and robotic mining equipment will be used in mines. Factories work from a distance of kilometres, without human intervention. Robotic process automation is the least-known but soon an equally important form of automation. The RPA programme fulfils repeat jobs depending on the regulations. In banks, legal companies, and distribution facilities, they are already in full use. Automation driven by AI will be utilized to lessen the workload of people. Automated AI is effective in taking away administrative paper-based tasks. Remote staff do not have access to forms, paperwork, stamps, signatures, etc. whereas automated AI can collect information, engage customers, check documents, analyze risks, make a choice and publish the findings in a fraction of the time.
Cloud collaboration platforms are technologies that will bring teams together. Cloud collaboration solutions contain the conventional audio, video, email, and chat communication functionalities that are further advanced with extra capabilities like file sharing, file editing, third party apps, automation, and AI. To be clear, it will not need to overhaul the workplace to conform to social distance standards, it will speed up a transition that has happened. There has already been a lot of technological change with a few exceptions related to healthy habits and practice. The reason is that the technology employed is commercially feasible and effective.
