Data science has been a trending field for the last decade, due to the high paying salary and the high demand for it in the industry. However, this started to change a little bit in the last couple of years. Currently, many people have shifted their careers into this field, also many universities started to offer undergraduate and graduate programs and classes, in addition to the online and offline BootCamp which requires no prior experience. All of these have resulted in a high number of data science job seekers than the offered and open positions. These changes made the job searching process to be so competitive and it became harder and harder to land a job in this field especially if you are fresher.

I think the most difficult part of the job searching process is the first step which is landing an interview. There are many reasons for this:

  • A large number of applicants: This step is the easier step as in most of cases it requires just uploading your resume and filling out a simple application. This will result in a high number of applicants which decreases the time given to each candidate in the filtering process.
  • The recruiters give small time for each applicant: Since there is a large number of applicants you will have only 10–20 seconds to be selected. This means that you should be able to impress and…
