NFT art is about to enter the mainstream.

When Christie’s sold Beeple’s NFT image for $69 million last March, it seemed like the world had gone mad.

His artwork was the 3rd most expensive piece of art ever sold. Christie’s then organized another landmark NFT auction. Crypto Punks bundle sold for mind-bending $16.9 million a few days ago.

Bizarrely enough, these ~$17 million sound like a small feat in comparison with Beeple’s auction. But it’s not. Average Americans need 256 years to make $16.9 million, earning the national average salary of $66,000.

Let that sink in for a second.

Suppose five generations put all their earned money aside throughout their whole life and do nothing else, not even drink water. In that case, they could save enough to bid for a JPEG image at Christie’s auction.

However, the NFT world is not just a rich men’s playground.

Lately, eBay has opened its doors to NFT listings. Artists and collectors can not buy and sell NFT crypto art from one of the largest and most popular online shopping websites on the planet.

If all this sounds like gibberish, LondonPunks has the largest free guide to NFT
