In recent years, Java is not always considered the preferred programming language for the Cloud. Contrary to the popular belief, you can build and deploy production-grade enterprise application on the Public Cloud using Java.

I am writing this article series to show how to build and deploy Java Micro services on the cloud. The source code of this article is available at Microservice Order and Microservice Customer.

Introduction

In modern enterprise software development, microservices are becoming increasingly popular. Although this type of architecture is no silver bullet and implementing it is significantly more challenging compared to monoliths, it is the preferred one in many instances.
