Recreating the images of Disney Princesses with AI
A great novelty this year were models that generate images using Artificial Intelligence.
In this article we are going to recreate images of some of the Disney princesses using Mage.Space (https://www.mage.space/) and DaLLE https://labs.openai.com/.
The descriptions of the princesses we use Google searching for: “<princess> physical description” or “<princess> physical appearance”.
We made variations of this search in English and Portuguese, to generate the images, we also varied the descriptions in English and Portuguese. Then we choose the ones we find most interesting.
Let’s meet Disney princesses using AI!
Cinderella
We used the following description for Cinderella:
Cinderella is a young woman with medium-length strawberry-blonde hair, blue eyes, and fair complexion.
It’s pretty similar, isn’t it? A real-life Cinderella version!!
Elsa
We used the following description for Elsa:
Elsa is a beautiful young woman, has a tall and slender build, blue eyes, rosy cheeks, thin pink lips, a small nose, long, platinum-blonde hair, and pale skin with a light dusting of freckles (a trait she shares with her sister Anna, though less prominent).
Elsa was one of the most similar to me! Except for the droopy look, AI Elsa is kind of tired! haha
Snow white
We used the following description for Branca de Neve:
Snow White is depicted with black bobbed hair, brown eyes and skin as white as snow. She wears subtle make-up and rouge. The red color of her lips and cheeks resembles the red color of the apple which sends her into a deep sleep.
I loved this Snow White Human version! I thought it looked a little like Kristen Stewart.
Moana
We used the following description for Moana:
Moana is slim yet slightly muscular, with brown skin, brown eyes, a small nose and waist-length wavy black hair. Her clothing consists of a coconut fibre skirt, mainly beige with golden sun patterns and a red sash around her waist.
Moana was VERY the same!! What was different was just the shape of the face, the smile and the look. I found the best!
Aurora
We used the following description for Aurora:
Aurora is a supremely beautiful young woman, who was magically blessed with waist-length, wavy, golden hair like sunshine, violet eyes, and lips that shame the red rose. She has a tall, slender figure and her skin is fair and flawless.
Aurora, with a more modern version!! A princess without high heels…I loved it!
Ariel
We used the following description for Ariel:
Ariel’s most defining feature is her long, flowing, thick, bright red hair. From the waist down, she has a green horizontal fish-like tail with sea-green scales and sea-foam green fins and a matching V-shaped waist-line resembling fish-lips that reveals her midriff and her belly button.
Ariel changed her look in the AI version.
Pocahontas
We used the following description for Pocahontas:
Her dark skin and black hair have become white and brown respectively, and her facial features more delicate. She retains the chaste, high-necked Jacobian costume of the engraving (which may have covered the real Pocahontas’s tattoos), but her jacket is softer and more feminine.
Pocahontas got a more formal version!
Tiana
We used the following description for Tiana:
Tiana is a beautiful 19-year-old with African-American heritage. She is tall and slender, with a chiseled figure, has medium-length black hair usually tied in a low ponytail, hazel eyes, and a bright smile. She has dimples.
Tiana got a human version of the princess!
