Introduction

RyanAir is a very popular, cheap flights airline, based in Ireland that’s dominating Europe’s sky. If you want to fly anywhere within Old World you’re most likely going to use RyanAir as your transport mode.

Unfortunately, cheap prices come with a catch — really bad customer experience and bad system design.

Bad Design

Let’s start from beginning, searching for a flight — you select passengers and… wait a minute since when teen is other (see screenshot)?

RyanAir’s considers teens as “others”

You could even ask what’s the difference between a child and a teen? Is there any? Well, there isn’t! It’s the same price, same seat, same age restrictions (RyanAir doesn’t allow minors under 16 years of age to travel unaccompanied by an adult). This is just silly.

Well, it’s actually frustrating when you accidentally or not select teen for your under 12 years of age child. Then RyanAir’s booking system will not allow you to check in!

Say that again? That’s just impossible, isn’t? It’s just incorrect passenger type and you should be…
