A new variation of Covid has emerged and with it, new regulations will force companies to resource to remote work again.

While telecommuting may suit many businesses and functions, this regimen is far from ideal for everyone. Sure the Great Resignation is a thing, due to people demanding better work conditions and realizing what’s best for them.

However, some do prefer to work in a designated place and don’t mind the daily trips to the office.

Work ethic varies according to each individual, and some might feel more productive within an office environment and prefer the dynamics, facilities, and sounds that it usually has.

So, if you find yourself coming back home, against your will, and you already miss the office buzz, you should take a look at the imisstheoffice.eu.

This website, created by the creative agency Kids Creative Agency, presents a layout of an asymmetric office, with different rooms and furniture, and produces the usual — and somewhat nostalgic nowadays — office sounds.

As soon as you press the play button you’ll be able to hear ventilation noises, phones ringing, a photocopier working, footsteps, and even the usual indecipherable snippets of conversations by the coffee machine.

It also allows you to increase or decrease the number of co-workers, depending on how sociable or lonely you might feel.

It sure doesn’t replace the real deal, but at least it will allow you to simulate the ambiance you might be lacking.

Inspired by a fellow creator, I decided to challenge myself to publish 100 short-form articles within January. This is article number 31.
