Do you desire an offshore hosting package for your website but it comes with a price? Here is the reason.

Many existing companies and start-ups desire a strong and lasting online presence beyond having a company page on social media platforms, thus they create websites that give the kind of feel they would want their clients to have.

Such websites need to be hosted on a server; hence, websites need to get either free or paid web hosting to be available publicly on the internet. A server is like an apartment where all your website data and files are stored; the server that hosts a website is called a web server.

To host your website on a web server, you need to subscribe to either free or paid web hosting. There exist free hosting packages but there are also hosting packages that you have to pay for, they are called offshore hosting.

Free Hosting vs Offshore Hosting

There are two types of hosting which are free hosting and offshore hosting. The major factor that differentiates these hosting types is location, which is the location of the server where the website is being hosted.

Free hosting hosts a website in the same location as the website owner while offshore hosting hosts a website in another location that is not the same as the website owner.

For instance, your company is located in a country in Africa with millions of customers around the world. You have decided to improve your company’s online presence to fit the growing customers around the world. You host the company’s website on a server in the United States for a premium hosting service that will achieve your initial goal of improving customer’s experience on your website. This is typically offshore hosting.

Many choose offshore hosting over free hosting because of several advantages some of which are strong customer support, strong data privacy and protection, anonymity, protection from local laws, and tax benefits but these advantages come at a cost.

Why There Is No Free Offshore Hosting

1. No Ads Placement

In free hosting, hosting providers place ads on their hosted websites but in offshore hosting, hosting providers don’t place ads on their hosted websites to provide high-level data protection.

2. Seamless Administrative and Technical Support

Unlike free hosting that has very limited admin and technical support, offshore hosting providers provide seamless admin and technical support which costs a huge fortune such as human resources and technologies needed to deliver these services.

3. High-Level Maintenance

Offshore hosting needs special facilities to keep up with its high-quality hosting service; these facilities such as hurricane-proof buildings for the data centers, submarine cables for data connectivity, etc. need adequate maintenance and all of these imply huge costs.

4. Use of Modern Technologies

The hosting quality of offshore hosting is high and the best service ever. It uses the most modern tools and technologies such as SSD Hard Disk for faster hosting capacity for speed and performance and other software packages for the best hosting experience.

The ball is in your court, you must make the right decision when it comes to hosting your website and ensure that your choice measures up to the company’s goal and objectives.
