The OnePlus 6 is getting a limited-edition red model, and we’re talking SUPER red! The OnePlus 6 Red is covered with a metallic red shimmer, along with a red, mirror-like fingerprint sensor that is complemented by a silver accent around the camera.
OnePlus has added an additional anti-reflective layer to “create a sense of depth by allowing more light to reach the bottom layers before being reflected off the device.” They’ve also thrown in a translucent orange layer with the red base layer. The result is a super glossy red OnePlus 6 variant that is flaming red.
As far as we know, this model has no relation to (PRODUCT)RED, the way limited edition RED Apple iPhones do.
The OnePlus 6 Red goes on sale on July 10th for $579. It will be configured with 128 GB of storage and 8GB of RAM. If you’re interested in getting one, you should mark your calendars, because it’s likely to sell out fast.
