The greatest triumphs of propaganda (fake news) have been accomplished, not by doing something, but by refraining from doing (silence). Look at the USA or better yet the world over nowadays. Propaganda, now fake news or alternative facts, have agents like CNN representing the media OR Moscow representing states.

Supranational totalitarianism as Huxley says, will be called in to existence by the social chaos resulting from rapid technological progress in general; Social media which a colossal chunk of the population world over has access to. Hacking which besiege governments and affect markets across. Development of nukes even by reckless states... Russia has the capability to nuke the whole of Texas, it's said. North Korea threatening to nuke the US, a nuke giant, and most streets are suddenly ghost towns due to tensions...as their leader threaten the unstable and disturbed Kim to reciprocate...

Human rights will be nothing in the face of anarchy,
Democracy, especially social, will be like pie in the sky,
Governments will be by clubs and firing squads as seen in most Asian countries like North Korea, by artificial famine, mass imprisonments like it happened in Israel and mass deportation like the USA did with the Islam.

Economic downturn,
Crime organized by political bosses and their army of gang leaders,
Unnecessary servitude to the political overlords...

Further, we should never add to our woes by tearing each other apart with the sharp knives of ethnicity and the dreadful daggers of hatred.
