my happy day spent
crying my fucking eyes out
cause I used to be an elementary school teacher
and I could show you pictures of my kids…

…and I could show you some of the pictures my kids did…

And Claire drew one of me…

…and I don’t mind so much
losing my birthday cause
it’s just me and a few others
but…

yesterday…

our people
lost love,
leaving behind
thoughts and prayers…

…same as it ever was.
