Great Expectations

No writing is ever finished, just interrupted.

There is nothing easy about it.

Expect to feel pain through your pen.
Expect to feel your brain boggle.
Expect to feel your mental toes curl.
Expect to doubt all you attempt.
Expect to be emotionally broken.
Expect to feel far too weak.
Expect to fail more often than succeed.
Expect to feel you have fallen short.

Expect to keep trying and tying.

Never expect to feel complete.
When you feel finished, you are.
Only death ends a story.

The distant shore can only be glimpsed.
The final beach is never within reach.
