Nothing can prevail
against time’s ravages.

Not rock, not paper,
not scissors, not words.
It breaks, covers,
cuts and erases all.

Time is faster than a
worried cat in Oklahoma.

Life is a suit cut too
short by time’s tailor.

Death has long legs
and endless patience.

Life flees, never stopping.
Death effortlessly overtakes.

Can’t catch up with life.
Can’t outrun death.

Inevitable outcome:

All you have done and made,
in other’s memories will fade.
