Today’s Focail do a Chara

Public Domain Pictures

The incessant
in-out-in-out-in-out
of a sick dog,
and closing the door quickly
to leave the beetle outside.
Grateful for poetry mornings
and lazy afternoons,
pictures of grandchildren on tricycles
appearing in my feed,
holiday plans;
roar of race cars in the distance
refrigerator hum
dryer clacking,
coffee perking,
crock-pot smell,
naps beckoning,
playbill from last night’s musical,
doggie kisses.
