Tell the Tale

Light a candle in the woods.
Say a prayer, it will suffice:
the crisis will dissipate
and the people will be saved.
But I do not know the prayer.
I know the place, I have a light;
it must suffice and so it does.
But what happens when light is gone,
when place and prayer are lost to time?
Then, sit down and tell the tale.
It must suffice, and so it will.
