Before the age of empires,
Before the airport madness,
Before the dark descent,
There was the dawn of man,
Slogging their way through the stone age,
Only to end caged in Arkham Asylum.
Bad company kept as
They traveled Hell’s Highway.
Cold fear kept hidden as
They combed the darkest dungeons
Seeking treasure with only
Their deadly premonitions
To keep them company.
Do not feed the monkeys.
The graveyard keeper
Treasures
The impossible creatures in his care
Until…
…the last leviathan emerges
From his underworld limbo,
Bringing little nightmares
And the long dark.
