The End and the Beginning 8/12/17

people blather

blather blather

people blather

all day long

they blather

blather blather

all day long

they blather…

but art and music tell a different story,

a more true story,

wherein the house behind the house

is seen for what it is and

not what it was…

a shambling husk,

empty and sad eyed,

memories haunting the kitchen

wherein life was given form,

ghosts of another time,

another place,

another space.

there was a time, there was,

once upon a time, there was,

but that time is gone

gone

gone

gone…

…but you need remember

the promise once made us…

this too shall pass.
