Weathervane

Whether rain
or shine,
we complain
— whine
when it’s fine,
yet say rain’s
a pain
and pine
for sun again —
It matters not
if heat or chill:
cold or hot,
we surely will
spurn the one ’til
we’ve got
the other — yet still
curse our lot.
