Gelato Network is the automation layer for EVM applications and provides developers with proven infrastructure for smart contract automation. Today, Gelato has deployed this key missing infrastructure piece of the Web3 stack to Cronos — the first EVM-compatible blockchain launched on the Cosmos SDK. Gelato’s world-class automation infrastructure is now available for all developers and users who want to automate their activity on Cronos.

Ella Qiang, VP of Ecosystem and Partnerships at Cronos said: “We are thrilled to work with Gelato to bring smart contract automation to Cronos. With Gelato, dapps can now further improve DevOps efficiency and user experience. Cronos native projects such as VVS and MMF are already exploring limit order features with Gelato, and I’m excited to see more advanced automation in the Cronos web3 ecosystem.”

Cronos has been one of the fastest-growing Layer 1 ecosystems in recent months. Since the Cronos Mainnet launch in November 2021, the Cronos ecosystem has had more than 600,000 DeFi and NFT users. Currently, over 170 dapps are deployed and live on the Cronos mainnet, with over $4 billion TVL.

With Gelato, dapp developers and their users can automate the execution of their smart contract functions on Cronos to achieve everything of simple recurring DevOps tasks, such as automated yield harvesting and compounding, setting and fetching, Time-Weighted-Average-Price, token rebasing, DAO automation, and other fully-fledged automated features such as Gelato Limit Order library for DEXes and AMMs like VVS or MMF. Furthermore, developers can use Gelato’s Relay SDK and Metabox frameworks to make easy use of hyper-reliable transaction relaying services, to offer better UX to their users with features like cross-chain automation and gasless transactions.

“We are excited to deploy Gelato to Cronos and to provide the developer community with the right tools for automating and relaying their own or their users’ transactions. We have already seen elsewhere that Gelato is a huge time-saver and feature launchpad for dapp developers that want to level up their smart contract operations.” — Luis Schliesske, Legendary Member of Gelato Nework

Stay tuned for more announcements about Cronos development very soon.
