Welcome to a festive Gelato Community Update!

Safe to say, a lot happened in November, including the successful rollout of Gelato 2.0 which introduced a redesigned website and outlined our new vision as web3’s decentralized backend.

As the festive szn rolls in, we have a couple more surprises up our sleeve, so follow us on Twitter & Discord to be in the loop!

Gelato Relay

Our 1Balance payment system for Gelato Relay entered private beta on supported testnets, Goerli, Arbitrum Goerli, Optimism Goerli, Mumbai and Alfajores.

Gelato 1Balance is a new flexible and bespoke payment system built from the ground up exclusively for Gelato customers. It allows customers to deposit funds on any chain they prefer and use that balance to cover their relay costs- regardless of the target chain.

How does this work in practice?

  • Let’s say a user tops up their Gelato 1Balance using USDC on Polygon. This USDC balance will now be used to cover all gas costs and fees for any relay call, regardless of the underlying chain.

Reach out to us via Discord if you’re interested in testing Gelato Relay, we’d be more than happy to get you onboarded!

November Performance Recap

In November, 265,706 transactions were executed by Gelato — bringing the total transaction count up to 3,704,006 million!

Gelato Automate (formerly Ops)

Gelato Automate reached 201,173 transactions in November, bringing the total transaction count for Automate up to 1,516,288!

This month we added an additional Network to Gelato Automate: Arbitrum Goerli, as well as introduced exciting new features within our alerts and notification services.

Gelato’s Automate Logs can be extremely beneficial to you as a task creator for monitoring and debugging your tasks. Task logs can be found on any task page and provide a live update of what Gelato executors are seeing.

To view task logs, after selecting a specific task, scroll down to “Task Logs”, where you’ll be able to view a record of each simulation check — Gelato’s Checkers simulate execution to see if appropriate conditions have been met to run the task. Read more about this here:

We have also added more additions to Gelato’s alerting service that enable you to get notified about your task executions, problems or when your balance is getting low. Alerting currently supports receiving notifications in Telegram and Discord, with other channels on the way.

🎯 Integrations Spotlight

Gelato Ecosystem — November 2022
  • Nukevaults integrates Gelato Automate to further optimize vault management by implementing harvesting and auto-compounding strategies for a series of vaults across supported EVM Networks. Yield earned is regularly harvested and re-invested into vaults Pools programmatically and securely with Gelato.
  • Verilog implements Gelato to perpetually power their prediction markets that automatically commence and close every round. After round completion, Gelato automatically calls the claimRoundReward function to claim round rewards as the next round begins.
  • Y2K Finance uses Gelato Automate to facilitate automatic payout transfers to users when vault-asset depeg below the strike price. Y2K Finance is a suite of structured products designed for exotic peg derivatives, that allow market participants the ability to robustly hedge or speculate on the risk of a particular pegged asset.
  • Kinetex has integrated Gelato to solve the problem of #DeFi mass adoption and attract new users into the market by simplifying the exchange process within the Kinetex Widget allowing users to make complex swaps between blockchains reliably and securely.
