We are happy to officially unveil the Gelato Network Community Forum!

The Gelato Community Forum will be a place full of resources and information about Gelato Network where community members can come together and collaborate on discussions, participate in voting on new proposals as well as sharing feedback or finding support.

The forum will serve to be community-driven and transparent giving users insight into upcoming potential changes or other upgrades to the protocol. The Gelato community can take part in discussions as well as put forth ideas for protocol features or integrations that Gelato should prioritize next. In the different categories, you will find resourceful information relating to that section regarding general and technical implementations, such as Limit Orders, G-UNI Rebalancing Strategies, Support, and more. As always feedback is welcome and encouraged.

From day one Gelato was envisioned to be an open and community-driven project. The goal was always to create a decentralized automation protocol to serve applications and developers on Ethereum and beyond. Gelato Network’s inherent design allows the ownership of the protocol to be spread among the people who use it the most. We recognize that in blockchain, each stakeholder in the protocol has their own incentives. Those incentives are not always exactly aligned with all the other groups and stakeholders of the network. The Gelato DAO exists to align, govern and manage all Gelato Network related decisions on behalf of its participants. The forum will act and serve as the ideal central point for these stakeholders to come together and discuss their needs and signal support for change to help align these incentives.

The GEL token holders will be able to vote for new automated features they wish to see implemented next by the core Gelato developer team. The outcome of these votes will be crucial in the decision-making around what areas Gelato should prioritize with developer resources and which integrations to ship next. All token holders will have the power to have a say in the direction of the protocol by issuing and voting on proposals.

A Breakdown of Some of the Categories Found On the Gelato Community Forum

General Category

In the General Category, you can talk about anything related to the Gelato Network that doesn’t necessarily belong in the other categories. These topics can reference the entire Gelato protocol at large and can be very generalized. If you are unsure where to post something, it most likely belongs in the General Category.

Technical Integrations

You can facilitate technical discussions for current and future developments of the Gelato Network in this category. Including, but not limited to Limit orders, G-UNI, design, and development UX/UI features, as well as any new implementation ideas. Here you can connect with other developers and ask questions about designs and developments relevant to integrating Gelato automation for your use case.

The Technical Integrations Category

Proposals Category

Here is the place where you will begin creating discussions around Proposals and where the path for voting and implementing change within Gelato will be laid. In this category, you can submit any relevant changes, ideas, or upgrades for improving the operations of the Gelato ecosystem as well as participating in ongoing Proposals by signaling your support through voting.

Feedback and Resources

The Feedback and the Resources Categories allow you — the users of the protocol and community members to provide general feedback and have discussions about the protocol, how it works, and ideas on how we can improve the user experience as a whole. In Resources, you will find all the relevant links and resources for the Gelato Network including reference guides for Gelato’s developments.

About Gelato Network

Gelato Network is Web3’s premier automation network, enabling developers to automate a wide variety of arbitrary smart contract executions on and across all EVM-based compatible blockchains such as Ethereum. Examples of use cases developers have built on top of Gelato include Limit Orders on AMMs like Uniswap, automatic compounding of yield farming vaults, Aave liquidation protection, MakerDAO debt ceiling updates, automated liquidity management, and even the petting of Aavegotchis.

Our ultimate goal is to automate everything and by giving developers the reliable tools they need to do this, we can empower their users to get the most out of their Web3 experience.
