I first got into crypto back in 2016/2017 — I had been studying the market for a while, and when the bullrun began I decided to pull the trigger, and I’m very grateful that I did!

I am the lead developer, and started the project with @yodasarmy after we did a few weeks of brainstorming and planning. Since we launched this past friday, we have had an incredible response from community members wishing to help with the project and have since hired around 6 people to help with the media end of things. I also have ~10 devs who have reached out to help with development, so I’m excited to interview them all this week and get some extra hands on deck!

3️⃣rd question: How did the idea of MP3 come about/born?

Shortly after I got into crypto in 2017 and saw all of the new projects coming out on Ethereum, the idea of decentralizing the music industry began stirring in me. Being a professional musician, I understand the industry and know there is a need for it. At the time I wasn’t properly equipped to launch a project, nor did I see the appropriate tech developed yet. So I waited and watched, I studied solidity, and I studied how other projects conducted things. I learned what to do and what not to do, preparing for the day my idea would come to fruition. After finding out about the Zap protocol last year, I knew that a bonding curve curation market is what was needed to make my idea come to life. MP3 is now the culmination of all that time learning and preparing to bring my vision to life 🙂

4️⃣th question: Could you tell something more about the roadmap?

Short term, the roadmap consists of deploying the governance end of the project, a DFO for Blockchain Music Entertainment (BME) which is the mother of all the financial products and DAPPS we will be developing; MP3 being the DAPP for recording artists, and later this year MP4 which will be the DAPP for film directors, influencers, & content creators. The BME DFO (Decentralized Flexible Organization) is where all decision making and development will take place. Everything will take place in a transparent, decentralized manner, and anyone from the community may participate and earn rewards for doing so.

6th question: How does artist will get benifit from your platform and how can they apply at MP3 finance?

The artist’s benefits will be twofold: by acquiring their own subtokens (shares) at the start of their tokenization, they will essentially hold equity in themselves which they can unbond from the oracle at any point when the floating price point is higher and be able to utilize that capital for the things they may need; they will also benefit in a marketing sense just by being tokenized, because the investors or fans who invest in them will suddenly have a shared interest in helping them to succeed. This opens the possibility of an artist having investors from around the world helping to advertise them.

7️⃣th question: Could you tell something about the tokenomics?

MP3 is the utility & value token for the Music Industry DAPP; it is what will be bonded and unbonded to the artist oracles.
BME is the governance token for the BME DFO and the entire ecosystem; a percentage of the BME supply will be distributed to MP3 holders based on a snapshot later this week. The remaining supply of BME will be locked in the DFO for rounds of LP farming and rewards for development proposals.
MP4 will be the utility token for the Movie Industry DAPP; this will include financial products to empower independent film & content creators, as well as influencers. The blueprints are still being drafted for MP4 and will likely be introduced to the ecosystem later this year in Q2 or Q3.

I have a feeling that most artists will jump at the opportunity to be of the first to be tokenized on the blockchain; we have also had A TON of unsigned artists already reaching out who are interested. This week we will be adding a form to website for artists to sign up to be eligible for the beta first round before the DAPP is available to the public

Tbh the biggest bottleneck right now is keeping the website up — with the massive influx in traffic the past few days, we’re now working with cloudflare to make sure that this doesn’t happen again.
