Genaro Network to Explore Vietnam Market with Huobi

Summary: Genaro Network CEO Larry, COO Andrea and BD Director Sophia invited to attend the Vietnam Blockchain Festival and AM Blockfair; CEO Larry addressed Public Chain Challenges and Solutions in keynote.

May 24–27, 2018, Ho Chi Minh — Last week, Genaro Network successfully completed its first excursion to Vietnam. This trip not only included attending the inaugural Blockchain Festival, but also included a Meetup with the NEM Vietnam community at the local CoderSchool and the conducting of a number of interviews with local media. Influenced by the commitment of blockchain enthusiasts in the southeast Asian nation, Genaro has now officially kicked off its Vietnam community.

On May 24–25, Huobi Pro joined with Regulus and Kyber Network in hosting a ‘Blockchain Festival’ in the GEM Center in downtown Ho Chi Minh City. The summit was a large-scale, ambitious event which saw live contributions from more than 30 speakers including many international blockchain experts and well-known guests from the political, business, finance, and media fields. The number of participants exceeded 1,500, and the overall atmosphere was so hot that finding a seat was difficult. Genaro Network, as one of the golden sponsors of the conference, not only set up a special booth, CEO Larry Liu also delivered a keynote speech, ‘The Seven Major Challenges of Public Chains and their Solutions’ and attended the panel discussion on ‘The Potential & Pitfalls of Public Chains’.

In Larry’s keynote speech he proposed that in 2018 there are large-scale commercial demands for the blockchain, as well as significant obstacles standing in its way. The main challenges facing the public-chain technology as the underlying technology of the blockchain include: (1) how to design a sustainable consensus mechanism?; (2) how to establish a peer-to-peer sharing network?; (3) how to increase blockchain transactions per second?; (4) how to store DAPP data securely in a decentralized way?; (5) how to establish data channels between blockchains and the real world?;(6) how to design a sustainable token model?; (7) how to specify blockchain governance? For details, please see here

During the expert panel discussion, Larry conducted technical exchanges and discussions with NEM, Zilliqa and Achain’s project managers, focusing on the different stages of the development of blockchain and how to evaluate the quality of a blockchain project, as well as how to solve the existing problems such as scalability, decentralization, and security difficulties. In addition, he proposed that “no single project can solve all the problems of blockchain.” Therefore, teams like Genaro’s must cooperate with other projects and university labs to ensure the stable operation of the entire ecosystem. On the ‘trilemma’ issue, Larry said, “First of all, there is no way to break through this predicament. However, all depends on whether the design can meet the needs of the customers. For example, we can increase security and efficiency, and we can increase a lot, depending on what the market needs are like. But I think in the future, all the three issues can be improved to some degree. Similar to the internet’s development, today’s Internet is more secure and effective than the Internet 10 years ago, so this also depends on technological development.”

Once the Huobi conference ended on May 26th, Genaro team participated in the Meetup hosted by AM Blockchain at the Coder School. Participants included NEM, 108 Token and Wisepass. Apart from sharing, Larry also accepted an interview with NAMI Today, a well-known Vietnamese media outlet, and described the advantages and technical features of Genaro Network compared with other storage services.

The remarkable vibrancy and vitality of the Vietnamese market were shown in the course of this trip. After business negotiations, Genaro will cooperate with local groups, including CoderSchool and NEM community; at the same time Genaro will support the establishment of Vietnamese communities to promote and further expand Genaro Network’s global influence.

- About Genaro Network -

The Genaro Network, the creator of the Blockchain 3.0 Ecosystem, is the first Turing-complete public chain that incorporates a decentralized storage network. Genaro’s original SPoR (Sentinel Proof of Retrievability) with PoS (Proof of Stake) mixed consensus mechanism aims to create a blockchain platform with a processing speed of tens of thousands of transactions per second, which opens the way for the technological shift to move data from centralized clouds to blockchain with decentralized storage. Genaro offers developers a one-stop combined platform for deploying smart contracts and storing the data needed for DAPPs, while also providing everyone with a more trustworthy Internet and a sharing community.
