On June 14, 2018, Genaro Network CTO Waylon attended the 2018 Borderless Blockchain Technology Summit held in the ‘Land of Abundance’–Chengdu. The summit was themed around “Reconstructing Production Relations to Build a New Business Model”, and brought together leading experts from the top 800+ industries at home and abroad to explore related topics ranging from the underlying core technologies of blockchain to financial, media and entertainment, and e-commerce applications.
As Genaro’s contribution to the technology-sharing blockchain summit, Waylon analyzed Genaro Network’s design philosophy from the perspective of technology, and delivered the keynote speech, “Public Chain Underlying Design: How to Design a High-performance Public Chain by Data Governance”.
At the beginning of the speech, Waylon outlined his own understanding of the blockchain from the technical point of view, blockchain being both “a state machine and a database”, followed by him talking about how the Genaro Network integrates blockchain technology, and an explanation of what Genaro’s decentralized storage network is. Through Genaro’s consensus mechanism, the ‘sentinel’ mechanism used in cloud storage is applied to the blockchain. Throughout the keynote Waylon’s solid technical background knowledge attracted the audience’s undivided attention.
During the roundtable, Waylon shared his wishes for the blockchain industry: “I hope that more blockchain project teams can work together from the technical perspective to explore the infinite possibilities of blockchain, and make it possible in more applications. Also, it is necessary to create a positive atmosphere for the blockchain industry. Everyone should be more practical and grounded.”
