Today’s episode of Camp NFH is brought to you by Wine and Mild Hangovers!

Seriously though, after an incredible Day 1 — the very first time we’ve met as a team, we started getting down to business. Now as many of you know, we may have fallen a wee bit behind on delivering some things to the community — our Loremporium backlog is extensive. So not only did we work on cleaning that out, but we did some planning (with Codename Eth and Danny1 calling in remote!) to make things smoother and more efficient in the future. On top of that, we had a really great chat with our friends at WME about the future of the project and brand partnerships that might be possible for us. Exciting stuff!

Having Boogie and Din Duarte here is awesome — they dove right in, driving new creative concepts, sharing the latest from comic drawings, and building the framework for future creative. They are as amazing in person as they are on Zoom calls 😊. We also enjoyed the arrival of the only and only VEE!! Coming in from South Africa after 30 hours of travel, he crawled through the door, barely able to keep his eyes open, and found a second wind — providing always insightful overview of the market and his thoughts on the future of the space — and how NFH can best position itself within it. Rmrm and BadPixel helped address the technical elements we’ll need to remain competitive — and began working on the next phase of what we’ll need to scale. Both of them individually are incredibly sharp. Together = Scary Smart. Laurel B has been a force of enthusiasm and excitement, and also provided the most critical tool of this summit: a white board.

Boogie & Vee meeting IRL for the first time!

It wasn’t all business though . . . we barbecued some carne and pollo asado courtesy of La Morenita, Spenser made an incredible guac, MK Bedosky knocked out a sublime bruschetta, and Koa General freed multiple wines from their bottle-cages. Very heroic. We had a round of Taboo (the Villains won because I’m sure they cheated somehow, and we all agreed that the buzzer is about to become a critical part of all future conference calls), we played a few rounds of Drawful (where Boogie proved that artistic talent has very little to do with success in some drawing games), and, in general, just had a blast hanging out and spending time together.

We have SO much more to do . . . but we’re as excited about the future of NFH as we have ever been.

YEET!!!
