How conservatives have lost respect towards everyone

From love to hate they’re all the same.

Why is it that everyone believes they have the right to input their opinion in a situation where their opinion is clearly not needed. As we observe the media during this new political era, we are witnessing how politics are becoming more controversial. We are seeing in a daily basis how individuals are attacking one another because of their differences in political beliefs and ideals. We are witnessing how the media is beginning to publicize stories that aren’t as significant, but because of their difference of opinions it is allowing individuals to criticize each other without any hesitation.

The hate that both of these groups have against each other brings controversial actions to the spotlight. They consistently attack each other even though at times those who are being attacked do not have anything to do with it, but only fit the mold of the stereotype. It’s difficult when stereotypes exist because anyone can fit or become part of the stereotype. Hate plays a significant role on stereotypes because it allows anyone to be categorize and become hated for it. Conservatives have consistently used the term snowflakes to stereotype liberals. It is an easy way to insult liberals on thinking method and belief system. However, the slight difference between liberals and conservatives is that liberals show their feelings and do not keep it in their private sphere. As for conservatives the only feelings and emotions the public witnesses is pure anger and hate towards those who have different opinions or reactions to certain situations.

Hate comes from a reaction of love. Hate appears because of the love and appreciation we have towards an object or a system that benefits us at times can benefit us in the future. One starts to hate a specific community because we try to find the attribute that makes us dislike that certain someone. This makes it a lot easier to stereotype individuals because if they have that one attribute that you hate then those who are similar, you will hate as well.

As Sarah Ahmed describes it in “The Organisation of Hate”, she gives us her insight of how hate is created and the reasoning behind it. Hate exist because the love we have towards other individuals, family members, and friends. We want to protect them and give them the best future that they can possibly have. We want our loved ones to be protected and be secured by any means possible. We can observe this in the relationship between conservatives and liberals and how they treat one another and those who may fit the mold or stereotype of either a conservative or liberal.

We see this hatred spewed by conservatives against anyone. An example of this was when FOX news spoke harshly about a child and started calling him a snowflake because he wanted an apology from vice president pence. This child just wanted a simple apology and FOX news commentators called him a snowflake and a predator that was “stalking” vice president Pence. How is it okay to attacked a child who is not fully aware of politics and stereotype him to a liberal when his actions are pure? Not until days later when the mother spoke on CNN saying how her child has autism and for him to speak up and ask for an apology was big steps for his development. It’s outrageous how these individuals attacked this child, however, if it was Barron Trump you already know that these commentators would be hating and spewing their hate against those who criticized or mocked Trump’s son. Yes, we all have that instinct protecting the ones we love, but we must also protect each other for us to thrive.

Tell me how this hate against liberal is reasonable to allow these adults to mock a child? Hate will never get us anywhere. Hate is what will destroy us.
