CHEYENNE, WYOMING — Nationally ranked startup accelerator gener8tor and Microsoft TechSpark will soon launch the inaugural gBETA Cheyenne program, a free pre-accelerator program for local startups. A director has also been hired to run the program and be a resource for local startups.

gBETA Cheyenne is a free, seven-week accelerator that works with startups for no fees and no equity. Each gBETA cohort is capped at five companies to ensure meaningful engagement with sponsors and other resources. gBETA is currently offered in 21 different markets across the U.S. and Canada. Participants receive intensive and individualized coaching and access to gener8tor’s national network of mentors, customers, corporate partners and investors. The program is designed to help startups gain early customer traction on their product or idea, and establish metrics that can make them competitive applicants for full-time, equity-based accelerators or seed investment.

gBETA Cheyenne is currently accepting applications and startups are encouraged to apply. The deadline to apply is Sept. 11 and the inaugural Fall 2020 cohort will begin on Oct. 1. The program will take place virtually this fall, and will be co-located with the Array School of Technology and Design when in-person gathering is safe again. Through gener8tor’s partnership with Microsoft Techspark, gBETA Cheyenne will help fill a critical need to create jobs and opportunities for people to build new skills and identify ways in which technology can help through the startup ecosystem.

gener8tor is excited to see the gBETA Cheyenne program grow under the leadership of Baylie Evans, who has been hired as Director. Baylie has lived in Cheyenne for 10 years and comes to gener8tor with a wide variety of experiences in storytelling and a talent for bringing the right people together for a common purpose. Her diverse work experiences as a reporter, marketer, fundraiser and event planner make her the perfect fit to support entrepreneurs in building a vibrant Cheyenne community that will continue the growth in creating a stronger sustainable economy for Wyoming.

“I’m thrilled to be bringing this important and meaningful program to Cheyenne,” Evans said. “It will provide more opportunities for entrepreneurs in Wyoming to get the support they need to grow and scale their business, as well as contribute to the critical work of diversifying the Wyoming economy.”

Baylie is available for free, one-on-one virtual meetings with potential applicants interested in learning more about gBETA. To schedule a virtual meeting, visit gbetastartups.com/cheyenne/office-hours. More information about the program is available at gbetastartups.com/cheyenne.

gBETA Cheyenne is held twice per year, with five Wyoming-based companies accepted per cohort to ensure a high level of individualized attention. gBETA works with companies across all industries and business models.
