Suno — Is this the “GPT of Music”?
Create music with simple prompts
I just discovered Suno.ai and it’s safe to say i’m impressed on first try.
Suno is “building a future where anyone can make great music. Whether you’re a shower singer or a charting artist.”
The team behind this creation consists of musicians and AI experts, some of who are alumni of tech companies like Meta, TikTok and Kensho.
Their goal is to“break barriers” between users and the songs they dream of creating. Allowing anyone to create music with ease, within seconds, using a few lines of text.
It is a simple to use web-app where all you need is your imagination.
You just need to type out a prompt describing the song you want , and it will be created for you in a few seconds.
Knowing what it takes to create music, I must say this was impressive. Since the music also comes with lyrics and everything.
And if you prefer just instrumentals, you can select that option as well. I tried both and got good results.
It’s quite amazing I must say.
It’s very simple and easy to use. Upon signing up, you are given 40 credits to test it out, and I was able to make this music in a few minutes of encountering the website.
Oh… I also made this version which is just instrumentals without the lyrics, by simply activating the instrumental tab. And I believe I can remix the songs I created if I want to.
As someone who loves to create immersive 3D web spaces such as this One (click anywhere within website to activate music), finding good music to incorporate into the entire experience can sometimes be a challenge.
So I welcome innovations like this, and continue to explore it together with other similar ideas, to see what the AI & music space holds.
