4 Awesome Group Activities You Must Do In Exeter
In our coworking community their are freelancers, single employees and small businesses. For those who work alone a coworking space is a great place to meet like-minded people. I’ve complied a list of group activities you could do in Exeter weather you’re a start up business looking to have some team building time or a group of coworking friends who want to try something different.
Escape Rooms
I hadn’t done an escape room before and suddenly I’d done 3 in 3 weeks. I warn you, they are seriously addictive but there’s nothing better than unlocking that final door and seeing the exit sign. You did it! These live action games make you work as a team to solve puzzles, break codes and think outside the box. Don’t be surprised if you end up squabbling, working together and doing your very best Sherlock impression.
Cocktail Classes
We’ve all watched a bartender make a cocktail and thought, how hard could it be? These classes give you the chance to step behind the bar and get your groove on. I am a little bias as I once taught cocktail classes but I can assure you you’ll have fun. You’ll receive drinks on arrival, nibbles, shots and of course you’ll mix up your very own cocktails. I ran masterclasses at Starz Bar but you can book a similar experiences at FORN, John Gandys and Oddfellows to name a few.
Saddles & Paddles
It’s time to get active, saddles and paddles is a unique independent business offering days out in the great outdoors. You can hire bikes to pedal and boats to paddle. They’re located on the quay which means the adventure starts from the get go. I can recommend making your way down to double locks for some lunch and maybe a quick pint... or two… or three. Another option for getting about in the city is Co-bikes, they have locations across the city for you to rent bikes per the hour.
Clip & Climb
Located on the quay, this climbing center is great group activity to bring out the competitor within and race against each other. Bouldering, tricky climbs and leaps of faith. ~The ultimate vertical playground for the young and young at heart~I’ve been here a few times now and its been great fun every time, just don’t forget to take a drink. Also try not to boast about how great you are going to be before giving it a go, it’s harder than it looks.
Well there’s a few ideas to get you going. Exeter has so many other cool things to offer but i’ll let you know about them a little later on. Don’t forget to let me know if you test out any of these or have any other fun ideas to get people together.
